Posted on 21 Oct 2021

As the autumn nights are closing in, and Christmas is fast approaching, it seems like the perfect time to share another berry recipe with you... Raspberry Mulled Wine.

Feel free to add your own twist to this recipe; play around with whichever whole spices you prefer, or use an alternative sweetener - our Haygrove Honey is a great alternative to maple syrup!

This recipe could not be any simpler, creating the perfect cold weather drink in just 4 steps!

You will need:

  • 1 bottle of red wine*
  • 500g raspberries
  • Fresh orange peel
  • Star anise
  • Whole allspice
  • Whole cloves
  • Cinnamon sticks
  • Rosemary
  • Fresh Thyme
  • Maple syrup

*Swap the red wine out for apple juice or cranberry juice for a tasty non-alcoholic alternative.

  1. Place all ingredients into a pot and bring to a boil.
  2. As soon as it’s boiling, move to a low heat and allow the mulled wine to simmer while stirring occasionally for 10 to 15 minutes.
  3. Use a sieve or strainer to remove any solids before serving.
  4. Serve warm, and garnish with orange peel, cinnamon sticks, a star anise and fresh thyme.

Enjoy, and drink responsibly!
